Fellowship in Christ!
Fellowship. It is a word that I have always heard since I was little, but I didn’t fully comprehend the meaning of it until I was older. Fellowship is such a sweet gift from the Lord! In Genesis 3:18, the Lord had just created Adam, He then realized that this was not enough because Adam should not be alone. As a result, He created Eve. The Lord gave us friendships because He knows it is not good for us to be alone!
To be honest, this is something that I used to struggle with a lot. I was always searching to find a perfect friend. I spent so long praying that the Lord would send me a friend that would encourage me and uplift me! Little did I know, the Lord surely would bless me. Years later, I find myself surrounded by sweet souls that encourage me and are there for me!
Through S3 at my school, I met so many amazing people that I may have never met if it weren’t for my countless prayers and this organization! I have people that pray for me, people that will send me texts of encouragement throughout the week, people that will listen to me when I am going through tough times! Paul wrote in Galatians 6:2 that we should “carry each other’s burdens” and I have learned the beauty of that phrase! Friendships are supposed to be beautiful. Encouraging. Joyful. Truthful. Loving.
If you already have God-centered friendships, that is amazing! Praise God for that right now! However, if you find yourself feeling lonely or discouraged and you are in need of a Godly friendship, I encourage you to call out to God in complete faithfulness to send you a friendship like this. I know that He will do so in His timing!
Now, I have a question for you: how are you being a Godly friend to others? Proverbs 17:17 says that “a friend loves at all times” and I hope and pray that you will take that to heart and truly comprehend what a good, God-given friendship is! Fellowship is a gift from the Lord. We are not meant to take on this world alone!
I am praying for you, sweet friend!

What a great reminder. God wants us to care for and encourage each other and friendship is a great way to both give and receive blessings! Let’s all ask God to show us someone God wants us to reach out to in friendship and a friend that God wants us give our gratitude to.
